Watch All About Steve Description

How do you get acting talent like Sandra Bullock, Thomas Hayden Church and Bradley Cooper in the same movie and then make a stinker? Easy … you make the movie about a mentally unstable stalker (Bullock) and then leave out all of the jokes. That is exactly what the makers of this film did. I beg you not to pay good money to see this film. If you must see how bad this is for yourself then you’d better watch it for free.

The basic plot of this movie is about a sex starved and mentally unstable woman named Mary (Sandra Bullock) who irritates everyone she comes in contact with due to her non-stop yaking and nervous nature. She makes a living by creating challenging crossword puzzles for a local paper. After she gets a chance at a blind date with a handsome tv news camerman named Steve (Bradley Cooper) that ends in rushed sex, she decides that he is her soul mate and begins to follow (make that stalk) him across the country as he goes about his job.

The entire movie is about Steve trying to get rid of his stalker who just won’t leave him alone.

The fact that Mary has a mental condition, and not just a hyperactive personality, makes this whole premise appear in bad taste to me. You don’t make fun of people who are sick with mental illness. Frankly I am shocked that these actors would agree to be involved in a movie like this.

Sandra Bullock has really lucked out with the timing of this movie though. Remember Speed 2? That stinker derailed her career for a couple of years afterwards. But this movie came out just prior to two huge hits …. The Proposal and The Blind Side. So no one even mentions All About Steve these days.

If you decide to watch this movie just remember that I warned you.

Enter Steve (played by Bradley Cooper), a handsome cable-news cameraman. So, when Mary meets Steve, she falls head over heels for him. Later she misunderstands a stray comment he makes while scampering away from her as an invitation for joining him on the roads covering up breaking news, stalking him throughout the country.
Now, as if all the so called comedy was not enough, the makers decide to throw in a dash of sentimental stuff, with Mary making philosophical observations about life. By the end of the movie, you may actually feel like suing the makers for mental trauma.
