It is sad to find Sandra Bullock disappointing you twice in a row. The movie in question is “All About Steve.” Written by Kim Barker, the movie revolves around Mary Horowitz (played by Sandra Bullock), a crossword puzzle writer, who is overtly annoying, right from the beginning. So, Mary is a ridiculous, clingy, hyperactive blabbermouth who tends to bore people around her, with her esoteric bits of trivia and long anecdotes. She lives with her parents (played by Beth Grant and Howard Hesseman) and has to be fixed a blind date, in order to have even a remote chance of close contact with a man.
Enter Steve (played by Bradley Cooper), a handsome cable-news cameraman. So, when Mary meets Steve, she falls head over heels for him. Later she misunderstands a stray comment he makes while scampering away from her as an invitation for joining him on the roads covering up breaking news, stalking him throughout the country.
Now, as if all the so called comedy was not enough, the makers decide to throw in a dash of sentimental stuff, with Mary making philosophical observations about life. By the end of the movie, you may actually feel like suing the makers for mental trauma.
