Went for the eye candy stayed for the movie! The storyline was well played and flowed well. TI could use a few acting lessons. From beginning to end it was well acted, scenes made sense. I love action but with all the sex and language its hard to get to the point but this film was well made without all the extra bull. If you like action you’ll like this film. I’m a mob movie fan and the ending had that kind of feel. Paul Walker and Idris Alba made the movie strong. Chris Brown and T.I. are still making the transition from music to film but overall they played their roles well. Characters were believable.

With people such as Matt Dillon, Jay Hermandez, Hayden Christensen, Michael Ealy, Idris Elba, Paul Walker, and singer Chris Brown you can see there are some very good actors playing the lead roles in this movie. Outstanding.

If you are looking for shakespearean acting and dialog this movie is not for you.
But if you are looking for massive explosions and ballistic madness, then for sure your money was well spent.
Stallone rocks! I just wish that he had used Jet Li a little more than he did. The Spanish girl was very hot too!

But don’t get your hopes up about seeing Bruce and Arnold in the whole movie-they’re only in the beginning. Which was a disappointment for me because I like them both. Eric Roberts is in this movie and I don’t recall him being in the ads for it. If you’re not sure if your female date will like it, it has an easy plot to follow and it’s not very long-plenty of eye candy to go around. I’m a girl and I loved it! I especially loved Caesar’s really really big gun-and that’s all I can say. Good fighting scenes with Jet Li and Jason Statham. I would definitely see it again and somehow, I can see Rourke getting a best supporting nod for his part. Warning though, includes a gruesome hostage scene.

Don’t judge this on the 8/10, this movie is FANTASTIC. I watched it expecting the mega-cheese that this movie is.

That’s right, it’s cheese all the way through, and I loved it.

Easily the best gang action movie I know of, it also ranks up there as one of the best thrillers I have ever seen. The movie is one big chase, and you really do feel as if you are one of the Warriors with thousands upon thousands upon thousands of vicious street rivals wanting nothing more than to tear you apart (literally).

Featuring a very well cast group of no names (only James Remar was a stand out to me) and an awesome character base, this movie thrives upon it’s title roles. You are drawn in and become attached to them all, part of the films appeal.

Because I didn’t see this until just recently (I was born in the late 80’s, far after the film’s original release), the film is out-dated and together with it’s retro-techno-rocker soundtrack it is pure cheese.

But that’s the cult appeal of this flick. It’s a classic, under-appreciated gem that is well worth picking up.

It should at least prove to be a little bit of fun.

We’ve been subjected to enormous amounts of hype and marketing for the Dark Knight. We’ve seen Joker scavenger hunts and one of the largest viral campaigns in advertising history and it culminates with the actual release of the movie.

Everything that’s been said is pretty much spot on. This is the first time I can remember where a summer blockbuster film far surpasses the hype.

For as much action as there is in this movie, it’s the acting that makes it a great piece of work. Between all the punches, explosions and stunt-work is some great dialog work. All the actors have their moments.

Bale’s Batman is the definitive Batman because we see everything in this character finally on film. Martial arts skills, cunning, great tactical thinking, forensic application, technological genius to advance or improve Luscious Fox’s inventions/technological breakthroughs, intimidating personality, and even a little swashbuckling.

As for Heath, yes he gets credit for his performance as the Joker. But you have to also recognize Jonathan and Chris Nolan for the writing and treatment of the character. It’s not just the fact that Ledger makes the Joker so menacing, but the Nolans have given the character this great manifesto that drives its actions. The Joker’s stance on chaos, order, anarchy, the morality of the average modern human being make the character so interesting psychologically. The Nolans drafted a complex character and only a perfect performance could’ve pulled something like this off. That’s how difficult of a role this was, and that’s why Ledger’s performance is so great.

This isn’t an action movie. It’s a film that explores literary themes of the hero and villain, as well as order and anarchy. Yes, listen to the dialog because it’s all in there.
