Now this is an interesting storyline. On a far away planet where the species are much stronger and evolved then humans, a situation occurs where two newborn aliens are jettisoned from their world in separate spacecrafts. By a miracle of coincidence both rocket ships land on Earth, in the same small town of Metro City.
In a case of accidental social engineering, one alien child called Metro Man (voiced by Brad Pitt) is found and raised by a loving family. He grows up to be an upstanding citizen and adored super hero, his only flaw being his supercharged ego.
The other child called Megamind (voiced by Will Farrell) is not so fortunate as he his found and raised in a prison. He grows up to become an evil villain who constantly battles Metro Man for control of Metro City.
After Megamind accidently kills Metro Man he takes control of the city. But he soon finds that life at the top is boring for an evil villain if there is no good super hero to fight against. With this in mind he selects and tutors another person to become the superhero that he needs.
Unfortunately this new guy discovers that it is more fun being an evil villain that being a “goodie two shoes”. So now Megamind not only has no opposing superhero, but he also has competition from another evil doer.
Very funny how this plays out.
