Wow. Tarantino, Pitt and the other actors are going to have a lot to answer for with this movie!

What we have here is a movie about a group of World War 2 soldiers who have taken it upon themselves to hunt down and kill all the Nazis they can find. I guess unless you are a Nazi there should be no problem with that. But where this movie goes off into Tarantino land is that after the kills this group cuts off the scalps of their victims.

That is right … this is a mainstream movie about people scalping other people. And you know what, it is very good.

Inglorious Bastards has all the great dialog that we have come to expect from a Tarantino picture, and the acting is uniformally fantastic. This is the best role that Brad Pitt has had in years, maybe since Spy Game. As the leader of the group he decides which Nazis they go after, and he goes about his task with a smirk that lets you know that he is really loving this all.

Is there a point to this movie? Of course there is … during war, on a large scale it is easy to see good and bad (ie; Nazis = bad, United States = good). But on an smaller, individual scale good and bad are not so black and white during wartime.

I can’t recommend this movie highly enough. But make sure you don’t bring any kids because this is definately for adults only.
