Watch The Last Airbender Description
This movie is a complete mess. For some reason the director (M. Night Shaymalan) attempted to shoehorn a full tv season of this animated classic into about 110 minutes of movie. Since that is totally impossible, what we have left is a film which makes no sense.
To make room, entire episodes were reduced to a single line of dialog. Even if you had been fortunate enough to have watched the series on Nickelodeon, you would barely recognize it here. And if you come to watch this without any prior knowledge of the story then good luck … you will never understand what is going on.
I can’t imagine how this was made. The actors must be new because they really seemed pretty bad. And maybe the most annoying aspect of the whole thing is that they didn’t even pronounce the names of the characters correctly. Now the only way this could happen is if someone wrote this screenplay without ever have seeing the actual tv show. Or watched the show with the sound turned off.
This is a really bad movie.
