Watch Despicable Me Description

When I saw this movie I had no idea what it was about. I didn’t even know that it was in 3D (aren’t they all now?) until they handed me my glasses. But as the picture started I soon realized that this was something completely different.

The animation is stunning, something that I think would make even Pixar proud. I wonder how much father we can go in animation since the characters now are rendered so lifelike.

The storyline is certainly original and well developed. There are two super villains named Gru and Vector who are forever trying to outdo each other to become the best in their profession. They have gone back and forth outdoing each other for that short-lived title. But Gru has come up with the ultimate villainous plan .. to steal the moon!

Unfortunately for Gru, Vector has learned of his moon-stealing plan and has successfully stolen his one of a kind “shrinking machine”. And since this machine is a vital part of Gru’s plan to perform the theft, he needs it back.

The problem is that vector has stored the machine in his high security, impregnable castle that is just about impossible to break into. Without an imaginative plan Gru will never be able to get the machine back.

Then an opportunity presents itself. Three orphaned little girls run into Gru one day and take a liking to him. They would love to live with him and have him become their new father. Gru sees this as an opportunity to get his machine back. He decides to temporarily adopt them, enroll them in Girl Scouts and then have them go to Vector’s castle to sell him cookies. With vector’s guard down Gru will be able to enter the fortress and steal back the shrinking machine.

How is that for an original script?

I can’t say enough of how good this movie is. You are just going to have to see it for yourself. Try not to laugh too hard.
