Bow Wow gives a good performance as Kevin Carson, a decent kid who lives with his grandmother in the projects.
On a Friday evening he discovers that he has the winning ticket in the million dollar lottery. After his initial jubilation he realizes that the lottery offices are closed for the weekend and that he will not be able to redeem is ticking until Monday morning.
So begins one of the most stressful weekends in young Kevin’s life. After his best friend accidently blabs that Kevin has won the lottery, Kevin has to protect that ticket from bullies, thugs, promiscuous women, and a local minister that wants a piece of that money for his congregation.
Lottery Ticket is really a very nice family film. There is one borderline scene where Kevin’s ex-girlfriend tries to seduce him for the money, but other than that the movie is acceptable for family viewing.
